“Let us not give up in doing what is fine, for in due time we will reap if we do not tire out.” —Galatians 6:9
Some of us were never meant to follow the easy road.
Recently, I was called to walk the harder path—the one that felt hidden in murky waters, the one filled with decisions no one applauded, the one paved with caregiving, advocating, and rebuilding.
I’ve lived four decades inside that calling.
It didn’t look like a mountaintop. It looked like a long hallway of doctor visits, dental visits, lab results, and quiet prayer. It looked like learning to nourish my body, hold space for my pain, and redefine what healing even meant.
But something happened when I stopped trying to fix my brokenness and instead decided to frame it—like the Kintsugi bowl, mended with gold. My life, my face, my labs, even my soul—they began to reflect beauty through the very cracks I once tried to hide.
And somewhere between the holistic modalities and the journaling, the deep sighs and the building with a joyful voice. I realized: I wasn’t broken. I was becoming.
This is the rhythm of living by design—a lifestyle not built on hustle, but on harmony. A lifestyle that transforms dependence into independence, and finally into interdependence, where I give and receive from a place of peace, not depletion.
That transformation didn’t arrive with a grand breakthrough. It came in pieces. And each piece told me:
Your story matters.
Your pace is by design.
Your face is healing, not aging.
So to the woman reading this who feels like the cracks have gone too deep, I say this: let the light in. Even though the war wounds are there, so is your faith and your courage. Breathe deeply and smile! You don’t need to hide the lines or mute the grief. You’re already mid-miracle.
You’ve already started by reading this.
Let’s design what comes next—together.
